Before joining UT, he was a postdoctoral faculty member of the Center for Environmental Energy Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park, working under the guidance of Prof. Yunho Hwang and Prof. Rainhard Radermacher.

He received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University in December 2023 under the guidance of Prof. David Warsinger and Prof. Jim Braun. He earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering (Summa Cum Laude) from the University of Tulsa in 2019.

His research interests include energy efficient cooling, heating, and dehumidification technologies, with emphasis in membrane-based separation systems, atmospheric water harvesting, thermal storage, and sustainable building technologies. He was a 2023 Dean's Teaching Fellow at Purdue and taught undergraduate thermodynamics. He was previously supported by the Department of Energy IBUILD Fellowship and the Laura Winkelman-Davidson Fellowship.
